Indications:
Adjunctive therapy for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (Type IIa, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed dyslipidemia (Type IIb) when diet and exercise alone are insufficient. (Lipid-lowering)

Pharmacology:
Inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis and storage in hepatocytes, thereby lowering total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in the blood.
