Indications:
Indicated for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in patients who have failed at least one prior chemotherapy regimen.

Pharmacology:
Erlotinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It competitively binds to the intracellular catalytic domain of EGFR tyrosine kinase, blocking ATP binding, thereby inhibiting phosphorylation. This action disrupts downstream signaling pathways, ultimately preventing tumor growth and controlling cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and metastasis.
